Deliveroo Rider Delivers Sun Cream on Surfboard in Brighton

As the sun blazes down on the pebbled shores of Brighton, a new hero emerges from the waves. Tom Court, a Deliveroo rider, has been spotted riding an electric surfboard, known as an eFoil, at speeds of 10 mph towards the city’s sun-soaked shores. His mission? To rescue sunburnt beachgoers with a timely delivery of sun cream.

This innovative delivery method is part of Deliveroo’s new “SPF SOS” trial service. The initiative comes in response to research revealing that sun cream is the most forgotten holiday essential for UK holidaymakers. With 46% of us neglecting to pack this crucial item, followed by phone charging cables (35%), toothbrushes (33%), bug spray (30%), and after-sun (29%), it’s clear that a solution was needed.

The “SPF SOS” trial celebrates the launch of Deliveroo’s Holiday Essentials Hub. This one-stop destination for holiday items ranges from sun cream to earplugs, ensuring that holidaymakers have everything they need for a comfortable and safe staycation.

Suzy McClintock, grocery and retail VP at Deliveroo, expressed her excitement about the trial. She said, “We are thrilled that our ‘SPF SOS’ delivery trial helped get sun cream into the hands of some sun-kissed beachgoers enjoying the beauty of Brighton beach.”

While the eFoil delivery trial will not be taking place outside Brighton, customers across the country can order essentials from the Holiday Essentials Hub through the Deliveroo app or online. Deliveroo Plus customers can enjoy free delivery and access to other exclusive member benefits.

So, next time you’re lounging on Brighton beach and realise you’ve forgotten your sun cream, don’t worry. Deliveroo has you covered, literally!

Finding a mortgage

Buying a house is a massive investment and getting it just slightly wrong can be costly. Unless you have big savings, chances are you’re going to have to get a mortgage. It’s a loan secured against the property which means if you can’t meet the repayments the lender may repossess your home and sell it to get their money back.

The better you understand mortgages and everything to do with them, the better armed you will be to get the very best deal. With MMR in place, you’ll need to review your finances themselves before approaching possible lenders to see whether you can afford the monthly payments now and if interest rates go up, which they will…

What is MMR?

When it comes to finding a mortgage you have several options: mortgage brokers, individual banks or searching online. Again, it’s important to do your research. Searching online first, gives you a good idea of what’s available, but an independent mortgage broker can provide a more in-depth search and help you through the process. Being independent holds great value as they are not bias to any particular lenders or deals, they will give you their honest opinion and take away the stress of working your way through the mortgage market, they work for you to find you the best package to suit your requirements.
